Jake Doddy

As an artist, Jake has always had a unique perspective on life. A bike to him was not transportation, but an opened door to freedom. Most athletic kids in his school were into team sports and followed a schedule while Jake and his friends made their own. Even after school instead of getting picked up from the bus stop, Jake would rather have his bike brought to him and he would ride home. Soon after he moved into Steve’s neighborhood, he met his friend Jackson who shared the same addiction to riding. Many failed jumps, popped tires and scratched handlebars later he bought his first mountain bike, the Giant Revel 0. At this point he and his buddies had become regulars at SVB, mowing the boss’s lawn for parts and asking endless questions. Age 14 came along and sure enough he was recruited into the SVbikes mechanic team. Consequently, tools were broken, threads were stripped and pranks were unforgiving. As with all skills, the more he worked, the better he had gotten at his job. Through all the drama of adolescence and life experiences (and many more to come), Jake could always show up at the shop and feel right at home with a great cup of coffee, and friends that he will hold in his memories for a lifetime.
